Trying new recipes

I never thought Preserves on a sandwich would ever be good. But....2 out of 3 people in our house loved it. You  all should really try this.

Car repair!

Today has been very busy. We put new tires on the car, fixed the valve stem on the truck. We also got our hair cut and I updated the software on my phone, now I've got a pounding headache from this stupid rain! If it don't stop soon I think I'll go to bed soon.

Redoing Furniture

Okay I love going to auctions and yard sales to find cheap things for my house and cheap or ugly furniture to fix up. This is one, it was smurf blue broken so I got it for $1. Yippy for me!!! Fast forward about 3 years down the road it's still not done. We've still go to stain the drawers and get another drawer built and then it's done and can finally be used. But here is what it looked like and looks like now.

Home Decorating

I love decorating my house and changing things up all the time. This is what some of my house looks like now.

And then this what what we are gonna do to 1 wall in the living room. Can't wait to start painting.

Projects for the weekend.

We've got the rest of the hall painted, baseboards and maybe a bathroom. Put away laundry, find better ways to store laundry. And hopefully get the spare room kinda cleaned out to make a craft room.

Now lets see if any of that gets done.....

I skipped my mom....I'm becoming my Grandmother....

And it's not such a bad thing either. She's thought me so much in my 28 years of life. I have the love of a garden and fresh foods from here. I know how to sew because of her, I can cook....well that also came from my parents. And now this winter I "hope" to put together my first quilt. I was going to last winter but I was sick all winter long and didn't feel like doing. Hopefully I can this time. With my creativity I hope it looks as good as my granny's did.

And I hope to read more. I've still got a Steven King book from 10 years ago I still haven't finished. I read it then I get bored then don't finish it, but I can remember what's going on so I don't have to re-read it!

Summer isn't even over and I'm thinking about winter projects....such an ADD thing.
